The Smoke N Gun "Steel" is one of the best foals we've produced to date. The hope for our program is growth, forward momentum and breeding the best that we can to create performance reined cow horse prospects. This colt represents that goal in every way. He made his arrival in the early morning hours of April 14, 2025.
His dam is Smoke N Jet Surprise “Gracie” a NRHA and NRCHA money earning homozygous tobiano mare owned by War Ponies.
His sire is AQHA legend Playgun (LTE $183K+), who has progeny earnings of 10 million dollars, and his progeny have earned 9,630 AQHA points! Playgun is an all-time leading cutting horse sire since 2003 and the #4 all time leading ranch horse maternal grandsire.

Steel is a bay (going grey) tobiano, and will be eligible for the NCHA Super Stakes, Breeders Invitational and the NRCHA Cow Horse Incentive. Own sons and daughters of Playgun are hard to come by, and they don't sell cheap. He's a hard one to let go of. He has a lovely personality, and is one of the first ones to the gate for scratches and pets!
