Mark The Stars

Mimic is everything we could have hoped for. While she is a solid paint, she is absolutely stunning! Her dark golden dappled coat is a striking contrast to her high white socks. She’s very sweet, extremely friendly and handles new situations well. Mimic is the only foal out of one of our favorite mares, Docs Painted Dice. With APHA/PtHA reining stallion Hollywood Reminic as her sire, the stars are the limit for this filly!

 Mimic was lightly started under saddle at the ranch, with 5 or so rides as a 2-year-old. She began formal training in the fall of 2024 with Royal A Horsemanship in Iowa. We hope to make her a nice little ranch riding mare. Her dam excelled in horsemanship and snaffle bit/ green horse classes, so we hope to have success with Mimic, too. She has big shoes to fill. Her dam is our “go-to” riding horse for everything. We believe that Mimic will be the same. 

Mimic ties, bathes, stands great for the farrier, loads and trailers well and is great on the long line. She was ponied along the highway and on a few trail rides. Mimic has been ridden in the arena, in open fields, along highway ditches and on trails. She is extremely good natured, loves people and is eager to please. She is very smooth to ride and is a beautiful mover. Mimic is hands down the prettiest horse on the ranch.

We plan to continue Mimic's riding and showing career before breeding her.
